The system supplying electric power to the grid- on is used provided that its access is enabled. Energy produced by the solar generator is supplied to this grid; thus constant consumption of electric power which the photovoltaic cells create is secured. The system functions on the basis of a microprocessing solution of a voltage meter. Connection to the grid is subject to approval carried out by distribution plants. The photovoltaic system, which is connected to the grid, consists of these components:
In order to obtain required power output, it is necessary to connect several photovoltaic panels which will form a solar generator. Panels are equipped with connecting parts which then create an electric circuit. The frame of modules with aluminum profile secures safe connection to the roof construction.
Our Primary School in Svaty Jur has been actively participating in environmental education for few years . Within the “ ECO – schools “ project we carry out many small projects and activities focused on nature protection , health care , separation waste and saving of energy .
During the school reconstruction , we started to reconsider utilization of solar energy . Since the EU has invited its member states to increase the percentage of energy made of renewed sources . In an effort to reduce greenhouse gases , we are thinking of installing photovoltaic panels on the school roof .
Our main point to achieve is that the school can also help solve these problems . Educational effect is also important for pupils . At the same time , we would like to prove a large economic contribution within the use of photovoltaic panels.
After the reconstruction of the electroinstalation system and installation of saving bulbs we have managed to decrease the electric energy consumption from 40 000 kwh per year to 30 000 kwh per year.
In case this project is realized , annual consumption of electric energy will be equal to the amount of producted electric energy . The recoverasility / in relation to the price of electric energy / is 5 – 8 years.
However , the main aim is to prove that even a small school can contribute to the protection of nature and educate pupils towards the use of sources of renewable energy .
