Becoming an Eco-Schools Corporate Champion is a very practical way to demonstrate Corporate Social Responsibility in your locality. Through assisting schools in working towards the internationally recognised Eco-Schools Green Flag standard you are helping sustain Northern Ireland's environment.
TIDY Northern Ireland, whp operate Eco-schools in Northern Ireland, will twin your company with a local school to the mutual benefit of both parties. Participating compnies will raise their standing and profile in the community. The school will benefit from the knowledge that a local business cares and is taking a direct interest in thier environmental education programme. There will be opportunities for pupils, some of whom may have relatives working for the twinned business, to participate in joint Eco-schools activities. Your business will benefit from the staff involvement, where appropriate, in helping the children in the twinned school to become tomorrow's responsible citizens who use the world's resources wisely and help sustain our own Northern Ireland.
TIDY Northern Ireland will provide two elegant shields for the Eco-Schools Corporate Champions and their twinned school which will be displayed for all to see both at the school and at the business premises.
TIDY Northern Ireland will make suitable twinning introductions and then help agree a modest programme of joint activities between twinned companies and schools for the first year.
Your comapny is asked to invest the sum of £1,000 (potentially tax deductable) in the first year for each school you participate with in this unique opportunity to help local children's Eco-Education. TIDY northern Ireland will do the rest. This is not a big cost for helping schools to become more sustainable and pupils to gain in confidence, competence and pride - creating the leaders of tomorrow.
