FEE is an international umbrella with national member organisations in 60 countries Worldwide. FEE is actively promoting and delivering environmental education through five programmes: Blue Flag, Eco-Schools.YRE, LEAF and Green Key. Through formal school education, training of staff and general awareness raising, the FEE programmes involve people of all ages and nationalities.

Green Key is an eco-label for companies within tourism: hotels, youth hostels, conference- and holiday centres, campsites, holidayhouses, leisure facilities and restaurants.
The Learning About Forests programme aims to encourage school classes and teachers to use forests for educational activities. The aim is to support teachers and pupils to go to forests, learn from them and in them, and to learn further by sharing experiences internationally.
Young Reporters for the Environment is a Programme designed for secondary school pupils and teachers. Each group must define its own investigation project about a local environmental issue (which topic, which activities, which production).
Eco-Schools is a programme for environmental management and certification, designed to implement sustainable development education in schools by encouraging children and youth to take an active role in how their school can be run for the benefit of the environment.
The Blue Flag is an eco- label awarded to more than 3450 beaches and marinas in 41 countries worldwide .
